Yes, just like people keep dogs and cats in India, in some countries people keep lions and cheetahs.
Lion
Since childhood, we have read in books that the lion is the king of the jungle. Because animals like lions are considered the most dangerous. They kill a human in no time. Let us tell you that earlier in UAE, people used to keep lions and cheetahs in their homes to show off their wealth. But in the beginning of the year 2017, keeping all kinds of wild animals in homes was banned in UAE. These animals were allowed to be kept in zoos, national parks, circuses or research centers. Under the Wildlife Protection Act, keeping these animals at home can result in a fine of more than one crore or 6 months of imprisonment or both.

Pakistan
In earlier times, keeping lions and leopards was a big trend in Pakistan. Politicians and big celebrities often used to post their photos with lions and leopards on social media. But in the year 2009, Nawaz Sharif’s nephew Salman Shahbaz had sought permission from the government, after which there was an uproar across the country and lion keeping was banned. Not only this, the Convention of International Trade in Endangered Species also intervened in this matter. After which all the people had to send the pets kept in their homes to the zoo.
Thailand
The issue of keeping wild animals as pets has been raised many times in Thailand. There are exotic animal cafes there. Where big wild animals like foxes, otters are kept. People coming there can touch them and get their pictures clicked, but before that they have to buy a dish worth at least this much. Animal Activities has also closed such cafes many times.

America
In many states of America, there are fewer wild lions but there are many domesticated lions. These include leopards and Salvador. A report by Business Insider says that more than 5000 leopards are kept in homes in about 12 states there. According to the World Wildlife Fund, the number of tigers living in the forests has decreased to less than 4000.
India
In India, tigers and lions cannot be kept as pets without legal approval. Under the Wildlife Protection Act, keeping these animals privately is not permitted.
