Report on breast cancer
ICMR has recently conducted a research, in which it was revealed that more cases of breast cancer are being reported in four other states of the country including the capital Delhi as compared to other states. At the same time, the report also said that women living in urban areas are more likely to get breast cancer than women living in villages. According to this report, women from states like Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka and Delhi are at highest risk of breast cancer. Another shocking data revealed in this research is that by the year 2025, 56 lakh cases of breast cancer will be reported in India.
What is research data?
According to research data, in the year 2016, the number of breast cancer patients was 515.4 per 1 lakh. According to this, if the number of breast cancer patients continues to increase, then by the year 2025, 56 lakh patients will be affected by this cancer. It has been told in this report that the risk of breast cancer is much less in rural women as compared to urban women. The biggest reasons for which are the lifestyle of urban areas, time of marriage and delay in giving birth to a child. At the same time, working women of the city are not able to breastfeed their children, inability to breastfeed is the biggest reason for the ever increasing breast cancer.

Health experts say that awareness regarding breast cancer is most needed. For this, an awareness campaign should be run so that people can become more and more aware. Breast cancer patients in our country are suffering from the metastatic stage of cancer.
