According to Usman Khawaja, Ashwin is a vicious off-spinner and he is also adept at changing his bowling according to the situation. Australia has to play the first match of the 4-Test Border-Gavaskar Test series against India at Nagpur ground.
Khawaja said in his statement to the Sydney Morning Herald about Ashwin’s bowling that Ashwin is a great bowler, he uses the pitch very well. If you ask this question in the early days of my game, I might not be able to answer because till then I didn’t know how to face off-spinner but now I am fully prepared to face Ashwin. Ready.
He keeps on changing his bowling
Usman Khawaja further said in his statement that while playing Test matches in India, there is a lot of turn in the pitch, be it from the first day’s play or second, third or fourth day. Ashwin will bowl a lot of overs during this time, so you have to prepare yourself in advance to face him, in which way you will create opportunities to score runs against him.
If you bat for a long time, Ashwin will come up with different plans against you. He is not the kind of bowler who will be seen bowling the same kind of ball continuously.
