India vs Bangladesh Rahul Dravid: Indian team head coach Rahul Dravid believes that from January onwards, there is every possibility that India will have a ‘full strength’ ODI team, which will play continuously for the next eight-nine months till the World Cup to be held in October-November. India’s ODI performance has been disappointing, including back-to-back series losses against New Zealand and Bangladesh. Due to workload management, a completely different team was fielded.
When asked that batting and bowling are becoming a problem in the middle overs, Dravid said that the absence of the entire team has not been easy.
Dravid said in the press conference after the match, “From our point of view, it has not been so easy to play. We didn’t have the full team. We hope that from January we will get the full team to play in the home series, but it will depend on the injuries. We have nine ODIs (three against New Zealand, three against Sri Lanka and three against Australia) before the IPL and hope that we will get a stable team for these matches.
He said, “In the last two years, we were giving a lot of priority to T20 because there were two World Cups to play. In the next eight-ten months, our priority will be ODI cricket. It is not that easy to adapt to formats. Dravid said, “Our white-ball specialists will get some rest as Test matches will be played.”
