IND vs SL 1st T20: Know what Indian captain Hardik Pandya said after winning the last ball?

IND vs SL 1st T20: The first T20 match between India and Sri Lanka was played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. In this exciting match, Team India led by Hardik Pandya won the last ball. Chasing 163 runs, the Sri Lankan team needed four runs off the last ball to win. Bowling spinner Akshar Patel threw the ball to batsman Sri Lankan batsman Karunaratne and he could score only one run on that ball. Let’s know what Indian captain Hardik Pandya said after this great victory.

Why didn’t you bowl the last over?

After winning the last ball, Hardik Pandya said, “Yes now, I am definitely getting used to being called the captain. It’s just cramps. Now I have a tendency to scare people. But if I am smiling then everything is fine. I didn’t sleep well, didn’t drink enough water. So the glutes were tight (a special kind of muscle).”

Why did Akshar Patle bowl the last over?

The Indian captain further said, “I wanted to trouble this team, because it will help us in the big matches. We are very good in bilateral series and in this way we will challenge ourselves. Frankly, all the young players got us out of today’s situation.”

Praises Shivam Mavi, why bowl in the beginning?

Hardik said, “The matter was very simple. I have seen Mavi bowling well in IPL and I know what his strength is. Just trust yourself (Mavi to Hardik) and don’t worry about getting hit (worrying about getting boundaries). If that is the case then yes,  I have worked on my swing bowling and I have worked on my inswinger. I am bowling in the nets and I like bowling with the new ball."

Shivam Mavi shines on debut

In this match, fast bowler Shivam Mavi, who made his debut for the Indian team, appeared in excellent rhythm. He took 4 wickets in 4 overs by spending 22 runs with an economy of just 5.50. Apart from this, fast bowlers Umran Malik and Harshal Patel also took 2-2 wickets. Umran spent runs in 4 overs with an economy of 6.80. Whereas, Harshal Patel proved to be expensive.
