India vs Sri Lanka, Asia Cup 2023: Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah narrowly escaped injury in the Asia Cup Super-4 match between India and Sri Lanka. In this match being played at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, the Indian team was limited to only 213 runs. After this, when the team came out to bowl, Bumrah suddenly twisted his ankle after bowling the fourth ball of the first over. After this he appeared to be in some pain but he continued bowling.
Jasprit Bumrah is returning to international cricket after a long time, fully fit. And after almost a year he is playing in ODI. After turning his ankle in this match, Bumrah continued bowling and indicated to the team physio and other players that he was completely fine.
After finishing his over, Bumrah went to the dressing room where he changed his shoes, after which he got the first wicket of the match by getting Pathum Nishanka caught by KL Rahul in his second over. After this, Bumrah also took the important wicket of Kusal Mendis in his first spell.
