Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Lok Sabha Elections As 2024 approaches, the opposition grand alliance in INDIA seems to be splitting. First, Bihar Chief Minister and JDU President Nitish Kumar distanced himself from it and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led alliance NDA. Mamata Banerjee has also adopted a tough stance in West Bengal. In the same sequence, in Uttar Pradesh too, talks are not working out between Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress.
Today on Wednesday (January 31, 2024), Congress leaders Salman Khurshid and Bhupesh Baghel held another meeting with SP leader Ram Gopal Yadav at Mukul Wasnik’s house in Delhi. Sources say that talks are not working out between Samajwadi Party and Congress. Akhilesh Yadav is not ready to give more than eleven seats to Congress.
Congress angry with SP
Samajwadi Party first left only eleven seats for Congress and then announced its candidates on sixteen seats. These also include seats like Kheri, Farrukhabad, on which Congress was claiming. Congress is unhappy with this stance of Samajwadi Party. Along with Farrukhabad Lok Sabha seat, there are many other seats on which Congress wants to field its candidates.
What did Akhilesh Yadav say?
On this matter, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav says that there will be an alliance and the distribution of seats will also be good. Only alliance will be able to defeat BJP in UP. He also said that there is no difference regarding seat distribution, whoever can defeat BJP should field his candidate there. Samajwadi Party has no problem regarding this.
Akhilesh Yadav’s politics
Actually, Akhilesh Yadav is playing his tricks and trying to put Congress on the backfoot. They are also doing this so that the blame for breaking the alliance does not fall on them. Initially Congress was demanding 30 seats, then it reached 21 and later 18. On the other hand, Akhilesh Yadav announced 11 seats and again left the matter to Congress. After this, Akhilesh Yadav also expressed his intentions by announcing 16 candidates.
