S Jaishankar on China: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar addressed the Asia Society at the Asia Society Policy Institute held in New York on Wednesday (September 25). During this, he lashed out at China in front of Chinese Ambassador Xu Feihong. S Jaishankar listed the Dragon’s mistakes on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and said that 75 percent of the issues related to the dispute between the two countries have been resolved. However, he stressed that during the COVID-19 pandemic, Chinese troops violated the agreement and sent a large number of troops to the LAC.

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar tried to make it clear to the Chinese ambassador that 75 percent of the issues have been resolved. This means that the only issue now is the withdrawal of the army from the border. He said that there are still many problems which need to be dealt with. Our next step should be to reduce the ongoing tension between the two countries. Because, the future of the world depends on the relations between India and China.

This is a very big issue. The entire 3500 km border area between India and China is disputed. Addressing a program titled ‘India, Asia and the World’ in New York, Dr. Jaishankar said that India-China relations are important for the future of Asia and it will affect the whole world. He said that if the world has to become multi-polar, then Asia will have to be multi-polar.
