India Day Parade Ram Mandir Carnival New York: A large number of people participated in the India Day Parade held in New York, USA. A carnival tableau with a picture of Ram Mandir was also a part of the parade. The 42nd India Day Parade was organized on this occasion in New York. People participating in the India Day Parade played patriotic songs.
People were carrying Indian flags and were seen dancing and playing drums while taking part in the parade. During this, the entire structure of the Ram temple made of wood was decorated with flowers. But in the meantime, a controversy arose over the tableau of Ram temple in the ceremony.
Indian Muslims boycotted the ceremony
A group representing Indian American Muslims withdrew its float from the parade following a controversy over the inclusion of a Ram Mandir tableau, saying it reflected anti-Muslim bias.
Hours before the parade, the Federation of Indian Associations, organisers of the event, said the tableau celebrates the inauguration of a historic site significant to Hindus.

‘Tableau for harmony and peace’
Federation of Indian Associations president Ankur Vaidya said the parade represents the diversity of the country and will include tableaux from different communities of India.
Vaidya said, “It is a proud moment to unite here with members of our community. I have been volunteering here since 2008 and this year is special because we got to march on Madison Avenue.” Ram Mandir which will establish the values of harmony and peace for all.”
Vaidya further said, “We Hindus pray that Lord Ram removes all problems. This is a march for goodwill and peace for all.”
