Asian Games 2023: India has created history in the 2023 Asian Games being played in Hangzhou, China. By winning two medals on the 11th day of the 2023 Asian Games, India has created a new record for winning the most medals in a single edition of the Asian Games.
In fact, India now has 71 medals in the 2023 Asian Games. This is India’s best performance in an edition of the Asian Games. Earlier, India had won the maximum 70 medals in a single edition of the Asian Games. India had made this record in the 2018 Asian Games held in Jakarta. Then India had won 16 gold, 13 silver and 31 bronze medals.

So far, India has won 16 gold, 26 silver medals and 29 bronze medals in the 2023 Asian Games. On the 11th day, Ojas Deotale and Jyoti Vennam won the gold medal in the compound mixed team event of archery. With this, India made a new record of winning the most medals in a single edition of the Asian Games.
The pair of Manju Rani and Ram Babu won India’s first medal on Wednesday. This Indian pair won the bronze medal for the country in the 35 kilometer walking race event. This was India’s 70th medal in the 2023 Asian Games. India was now just one step away from creating history. After this, Ojas Deotale and Jyoti Vennam did wonders in archery. This pair targeted gold.

Till now on the 11th day of 2023 Asian Games, India has 16 gold, 26 silver medals and 29 bronze medals in its name. India can create history by scoring a century of medals in this Asian Games. Today i.e. on Wednesday, India is expected to win more than 10 medals.
