‘India is a peace loving country’, PM Modi said in ASEAN Summit, said this on Act East Policy


ASEAN-India Summit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Today on Thursday (10 October) he has reached Laos to participate in the ASEAN-India and East Asia Summit. In his address at the conference, PM Modi said that India is a peace-loving country and is moving towards development. India has fulfilled its responsibilities during the Corona period.

He said that India’s participation in the world has increased and people-centric approach is our priority. He gives importance to the unity and integrity of nations. He said that we are committed to providing a bright future to our youth.

Direct flight connectivity with seven ASEAN countries

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “I had announced India’s Act-East Policy. Over the last decade, this policy has given new energy, direction and momentum to the relations between India and ASEAN countries. Over the last 10 years, we have Our trade has almost doubled to more than 130 billion dollars. Today India has direct flight connectivity with 7 ASEAN countries and will soon start direct flights with Brunei also.

Friendship between India and ASEAN is special

He said, “I believe that the 21st century is the century of India and ASEAN countries. Today when there is a situation of conflict and tension in many parts of the world. Friendship, dialogue and cooperation between India and ASEAN is very important.

Enjoyed Ramlila also

When PM Modi reached Laos, he was given a grand welcome. He also enjoyed Ramlila there. Laos is an intellectual country and there is no official data available regarding the Hindu population there. Regarding Ramlila, the Indian Foreign Ministry says that this event reflects the civilization and age-old relations of the two countries.
