India Lockdown Review: Madhur Bhandarkar’s film reminds of lockdown when people are imprisoned in their homes

Mumbai: After the knock of Corona, the memory of the lockdown in the country is still fresh in the hearts and minds of the people and in the meantime Madhur Bhandarkar’s new film, ‘India Lockdown’ has also knocked. The film has once again reminded the audience of the painfully long lockdown faced by the entire section of India during the Corona virus epidemic. Madhav, along with his wife Phoolmati (Sai Tamhankar), who works as a domestic help, gets trapped in a web of helplessness in Mumbai, away from their village due to the lockdown. Mehru (Shweta Basu Prasad) is a girl living in Kamathipura, whose entire earning stops due to the Corona lockdown. She adopts a new way to earn.

Now comes the story of Moon Alves (Aahana Kumra), who is all alone and remembers her assignment. Wearing her uniform, she gets ready to find her company. On the other hand, his neighbor is also lonely and is anxious to meet his girlfriend. Madhur has created some such scenes, which startles, scares and makes you cry. Leaving the track of Prakash Belawadi, the rest of the four stories written by Madhur are brilliant. But, somewhere in this, the diversity of the lockdown in India is not visible, which the audience was expecting.
