India Vs Pakistan BCCI Secretary Jay Shah Met With PCB Chief Zaka Ashraf In Durban And Informal Chat On The Schedule Of Asia Cup 2023 Schedule


Asia Cup Schedule 2023, India vs Pakistan: The upcoming Asia Cup 2023 match between India and Pakistan will be played in Sri Lanka only. This was confirmed after a meeting between Jai Shah, secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Zaka Ashraf, chief of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), in Durban. Pakistan has the right to host Asia this time under the hybrid model, but it will organize only 4 matches at home, while the remaining matches of the tournament will be played in Sri Lanka.

Ahead of the ICC Board meeting in Durban, Jay Shah and Zaka Ashraf had an informal meeting to finalize the Asia Cup schedule. Regarding this, IPL chairman Arun Dhumal told PTI in his statement that our secretary met PCB chief Zaka Ashraf and discussed the schedule of Asia Cup which has now moved ahead.

Arun Dhumal also made it clear in his statement that the Indian team will play all its matches in the upcoming Asia Cup in Sri Lanka only. He said that in Asia Cup 2023, 4 matches of the league stage will be held in Pakistan, after that the remaining matches will be played in Sri Lanka, including 2 matches between India and Pakistan. If both the teams reach the final, then the third match will also be played in Sri Lanka.

Indian team and secretary Jay Shah will not visit Pakistan

According to Pakistani media reports, BCCI secretary Jay Shah has been invited to visit Pakistan during the Asia Cup. Regarding this, Arun Dhumal said that no such discussion has taken place, neither the Indian team is visiting there nor Secretary Jai Shah will visit Pakistan. This meeting has been done only to finalize the schedule of the Asia Cup.
