Indian Army Jammu Kashmir Police trained Village Defense Guards to protect villages from terrorist threats


Jammu Kashmir News: The Indian Army and the local police are continuously conducting operations to destroy the designs of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. Many such cases have also come to light from Kashmir where terrorists have targeted local people. Now in such a situation, the Indian Army has taken the initiative to increase the security of local communities by training Village Defense Guards (VDG) with the help of Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP).

VDG will save the village from terrorists

The objective of this initiative of the security forces is to equip these citizens with all the necessary skills so that they can protect their villages from the threat of terrorists and strengthen the security structure of the entire region. According to the report of news agency ANI, about 600 people are currently getting training on how to use automatic rifles, squad post drills and small tactics.

They help the security forces in finding the terrorists

VDG members usually assist security forces in searching for terrorists in remote areas of Jammu region. Recently, the central government fulfilled their demand by providing them with the latest weapons. Earlier, the Gram Raksha Guards had 3-N-3 guns, but now they are equipped with modern SLRs.

After almost 10 years, voting is going to be held in three phases for 90 assembly seats of Jammu and Kashmir. Regarding this, the Election Commission had said that we will give a befitting reply to those who try to create any kind of disturbance in the elections, whether the enemy is from within or outside.
