Indian Army refutes Farooq Abdullah claim, says Baseless Allegations of Army Terrorist Collusion | Farooq Abdullah: Farooq Abdullah had claimed army-terrorist collusion, Army reprimanded him, said

Jammu-Kashmir: There is a ruckus over the statement of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference leader and former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Abdullah. Actually, Farooq Abdullah had accused the army and terrorists of collusion in Jammu and Kashmir. On this, sources from the Army Headquarters have also objected to Farooq Abdullah’s statement.

Sources in the Army Headquarters said, “Such rhetoric is detrimental to national security. This baseless allegation not only lacks facts but is also insulting to the brave men and women who risk their lives to protect our country.”

What did he say about the situation in Jammu and Kashmir?

Sources in the Army Headquarters said, “The Indian Army is protecting the border with strength and it has a glorious history of protecting the country’s borders. The situation in Jammu and Kashmir has improved dramatically in recent years.”

These figures were presented

It was informed that in 2019, ‘there were 219 attempts of infiltration by terrorists but due to the relentless efforts of the army, this number came down to just 48 last year and has come down to zero this year. The success of the armed forces is quite evident in eliminating infiltration attempts. The army foiled 17 infiltration attempts in 2023, up from just 1 in 2017.’

‘The comment appears to be politically motivated’

The army said, ‘Farooq Abdullah’s comment seems to be politically motivated. The truth is that our borders have been made even more secure by the security forces.’ Top military sources confirmed this and said, ‘No attempt of infiltration has been successful in the areas under direct surveillance of the army, which makes the recent claims of collusion even more baseless.’
