Automobile Exports From India: Every day something new happens in the auto sector. The last 6 months of this financial year have been very good for the automobile industry. We are saying this because during this time period there has been a 14 percent increase in automobile exports. Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) has released figures regarding this.
So many vehicles exported during the half year
According to SIAM data, a total of 25 lakh 28 thousand 248 units of vehicles were exported from April to September, which is 14 percent more than a year ago.
According to the President of SIAM, exports from India have increased rapidly. The markets of Latin America and Africa were in recession for the last several years due to various reasons, but now they are emerging rapidly. If we look at the data of last several years, there was a decline in automobile exports.
Total exports in the last financial year were 45 lakh units whereas in FY 23 it was more than 47 lakh units. Now in the first half (April-September) of the current financial year, the shipment of passenger cars has increased by 12 percent year-on-year.
Which company exported how much?
For your information, let us tell you that the country’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki has exported the maximum number of passenger cars. The company remains on top with the shipment of 1 lakh 47 thousand 63 vehicles. Last year, the units of vehicles exported during the same time period were 1 lakh 31 thousand 546.
In terms of exports, Hyundai Motor India is at second place, which has exported 84 thousand 900 cars. In the April-September period of the last financial year, the vehicles exported were 86 thousand 105 units, which is approximately 1 percent less.
