Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar from US said China has violated border agreements with India

S Jaishankar Message To China: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said on Tuesday (October 1, 2024) that China has violated border agreements and continued tension will lead to a natural eclipse on the remaining relations. Responding to a question at the ‘Carnegie Endowment for International Peace Think Tank’, he said, ‘In terms of our own relations with China, I think it is a long story, but in short, maintaining peace and stability on the border. There were agreements between us for this, China has violated those agreements.

The Foreign Minister said, ‘Since our forces are deployed on the front, tension is being created. Unless the deployments on the front are resolved, tension will continue. If the tension continues, it will affect other relationships as well. This is the reason why our relations have not been good for the last four years.

Western countries helped China- S Jaishankar
The minister was asked about tensions with China and China leaving every country behind in trade relations with India. S Jaishankar said, ‘When it comes to trade, China’s share in global manufacturing is about 31-32 percent. This has happened because for many decades international business (which is mainly Western led) chose to cooperate with China for mutual benefit.

China has become a compulsion for every country
The Foreign Minister said, ‘Today the situation is such for any country that if you are engaged in any kind of consumption or even in any kind of manufacturing, then outsourcing from China has become mandatory.’ Jaishankar said, ‘So in a way, at one level, trade with China is almost autonomous from political or other relations. I don’t think it’s just a question of numbers. You also have to look at what you are trading. Because there will be countries that will be more sensitive to their risks while there will be some countries that will not care about it.
