Indian Olympic Association President PT Usha Look Into Wrestlers Protest Matter She Said Will Ensure A Complete Investigation | Wrestlers Protest: Indian Olympic Association President PT Usha came forward in the matter of wrestlers, said

Wrestlers Protest: Many star wrestlers like Vinesh Phogat Bajrang, Punia, Sakshi Malik are seen demanding justice for themselves. 30 wrestlers started protesting at Jantar Mantar in Delhi from 18 January. All these wrestlers have made allegations of sexual harassment against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President Brij Bhunshan Singh and several coaches. After this demonstration, the wrestlers also held talks with the Sports Ministry, but the wrestlers were not satisfied with this. Now the president of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) PT Usha has also come forward in this matter.

PT Usha tweeted about this and wrote, “I am discussing the current issue of wrestlers with the members and for us the welfare of the athlete is our priority. We request the athletes to come forward and share their concerns with us. We will ensure a thorough investigation to ensure justice. We have also decided to form a special committee to deal with such situations that may arise in future, so that swift action can be taken.”

Will not stop protest till justice is done

All the wrestlers protesting say that they will not withdraw from the strike until justice is done. Star wrestler Vinesh Phogat said that if we can leave our wrestling and come here, then the president can’t leave the post? Until we get justice, we will not move from here and our protest will continue.

He said that our lives are also in danger. We haven’t taken any kind of security from the police either. The President’s house has been locked. When exploitation happens, it happens in the room and there is no camera inside the room. The girls who have been exploited are themselves proof of that fact.
