Actually, the District Consumer Re-Addressal Commission of Visakhapatnam district gave a decision regarding South Central Railway. In which the Commission has asked South Central Railway to give Rs 25,000 as compensation to a railway passenger. A passenger was traveling in an AC coach of Tirumala Express with his family. The AC of Tirumala Express train was not working during the journey. Then when I went to the toilet and saw, there was no water in the toilet.

For this reason the passenger complained to the Railways. And acting on this complaint, the District Consumer Commission of Visakhapatnam district gave its decision to give compensation to South Central Railway. The commission said in the decision that Railways is bound to provide basic facilities to the passengers. These include running of AC, water in the toilet, because it was not so and due to this the passenger has to go through physical and mental problems. That is why Railways will have to give him compensation.
