Indian Stock Market Bid Adieu FY23 With Huge Rally On Last Trading Day Sensex Jumps 1000 Points


Stock Market Closing On 31st March 2023: The Indian stock market has bid farewell to the financial year 2022-23 in a grand manner. On the last trading day of this financial year, there was a great boom in the market. Investors bought heavily. This boom was led by market giant Reliance Industries, after which the Sensex closed above 1,000 points. At the end of today’s trading, the BSE Sensex rose by 1031 points to 58,991 points, while the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty closed at 17,359 points with a gain of 279 points.

In today’s trade, there has been a jump of 1.75 percent in the banking sector. Apart from this, Nifty IT also gained 2.45 percent. FMCG, Energy, Auto, Infra, Metals, Consumer Durables and Oil & Gas sector stocks also gained significantly. Mid-cap and small-cap sector shares also closed at a brisk pace. Of the 30 Sensex stocks, 26 closed higher and 4 closed down. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 43 closed with gains while 7 closed with losses.

In today’s trade, Reliance closed with a gain of 4.29 per cent, Nestle 3.30 per cent, Infosys 3.19 per cent, ICICI Bank 3.08 per cent, Tata Motors 2.80 per cent, TCS 2.16 per cent, Wipro 1.80 per cent. While Sun Pharma closed down by 0.77 per cent, Asian Paints by 0.27 per cent, Bajaj Finance by 0.24 per cent, Titan by 0.05 per cent.

Rise in investor wealth

In today’s trading session, there has been a tremendous jump in the wealth of investors. The market cap of companies listed on BSE has increased to Rs 258.19 lakh crore, while it was Rs 254.77 lakh crore on Wednesday. In today’s trading session, investors’ wealth has seen a jump of Rs 3.42 lakh crore.
