Indonesia Earthquake News: Earthquake tremors were felt in the early hours of Monday (January 16) off the Indonesian coast of Sumatra. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) informed that the intensity of the earthquake off the coast of Indonesia was measured at 6.2 magnitude on the Richter scale. According to the information given on the USGS website, the earthquake occurred 40 kilometers southeast of the city of Singkil in Indonesia.

The European-Mediterranean Center for Seismology said tremors were felt in the city of Medan to the north-northeast, about 120 km from the epicenter.
