An inspector posted at Sadar Kotwali of Lakhimpur Kheri beat up a shopkeeper for not getting tea on time. It is alleged that the inspector slapped the shopkeeper several times. The pan full of milk kept on the cart was also thrown away. After the video of the incident went viral on social media, ASP East handed over the investigation of the case to CO City.

The incident has been reported to have happened on February 20 at around 10.15 am. A young man named Rahul runs a tea shop near Sadar Kotwali. An inspector had sent an order for two teas to his shop. Since it was morning, the shopkeeper was heating milk.

Rahul told that a home guard had come to him from the police station and left after ordering tea. At that time the milk is getting hot. That’s why it was also told that there would be some delay. According to the shopkeeper, there were about 28 liters of milk in the container. The incident of beating and throwing milk was recorded in the CCTV camera installed in a shop there. ASP East Pawan Gautam has issued instructions to CO City to investigate the matter. The name of the accused inspector is said to be Ramakant Tiwari.
