Expansion
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Monday officially launched the integrated QR-ticketing system. This year, in August, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between NCRTC and DMRC. Shalabh Goyal, Managing Director, NCRTC, and Dr. Vikas Kumar, Managing Director, DMRC, officially launched the system by booking NaMo Bharat train and Delhi Metro train tickets on the mobile app.
Passengers will save time, promote digital transactions and eco-friendly travel options. NCRTC has also entered into a similar agreement with IRCTC under which, passengers can book Indian Railways train tickets as well as NaMo Bharat train tickets through the IRCTC platform. Let us tell you that this initiative is in line with the PM National Gati Shakti Master Plan. It aims to promote integration of infrastructure and seamless connectivity between different transport modes.
