Inter-school football competition is starting from 23rd May under the joint aegis of Amar Ujala and Ozone City. On May 21, the trophy of the competition was unveiled in the auditorium of Ozone City by chief guest Mayor Prashant Singhal, special guest SP City Mrigank Shekhar Pathak, District Sports Officer Ram Milan and Ozone City CMD Praveen Mangla.
Chief guest Mayor Prashant Singhal said that this is a commendable initiative. Amar Ujala gives a new energy to the society. There is scope for progress in football. In today’s times, expertise is necessary. Be it studies or sports. That is why the Prime Minister says that India will progress only when it remains fit. Make sports a part of your life. Whatever sport you are involved in, bring glory to your family, city, district, state and country.
Special guest SP City Shashank Shekhar Tripathi said that football is a game which is very popular all over the world. He said that football players should also come out from Aligarh. We hope that such players have emerged from here who can become a part of the Indian team. Said to make sports a part of your life. When you include it in your life since school days, you will have gained expertise in the game by the time you reach college. If those who are interested in football, they must read their role models, because these players have come from among you.
Special guest Ozone City CMD Praveen Mangla said that along with the football field, an academy is also being run in Ozone City. Due to the hard work of the last two years, two football stars emerged from this field, who are shining on the national stage. Adityaraj is the captain of the UP team, while Rani is a national player. He hopes that soon both the players will be seen representing the Indian team. Special guest District Sports Officer Ram Milan has congratulated for the successful organization of inter-school football competition. He said that a great platform is being provided for football players. After this the draw for the match took place.
The opening match will be played on 23 May. Delhi Public School Agra Road, DS Bal Mandir Senior Secondary School, Albarqat Public School, Ayesha Tareen Public School, Wisdom Public School, AMU City School, AMU Senior Secondary (Boys) School, Agrasen Inter College are participating in the competition. Matches will be played on the football ground of Ozone City. On this occasion, Sagar Mangala, Naman Mangala, Football Association Secretary Pawan Singh, Sarvjeet Neelu, Pradeep Rawat, Mohammad Imran, Bhuvnesh Sharma, Ozone City General Manager Shailendra Chaudhary etc. were present.
