The entire incident is of 16th September. Bannadevi police had caught five vehicle thieves along with eight two wheelers. All these accused were brought by Rasalganj outpost in-charge Sachin Kumar for production before remand magistrate. Inspector Sachin Kumar alleged that he was kept there till 10 pm. Several times the judicial officer called him to his chamber and threatened him by using abusive language. This made him sad and he reached the railway track to commit suicide. But the local police caught the inspector before he could do so.

On the second day, on 18th September, the remand report was also sent to SSP and CJM on the orders of the remand magistrate. In his remand report, the judicial officer has accused the inspector of misbehaving and threatening and leaving the court premises when asked legal questions. He has also considered this behavior of the inspector as contempt of court.
