Akash Madhwal in IPL 2023: The eliminator match of IPL 2023 was played between Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants on Wednesday (May 24), in which Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians won by 81 runs. After winning the toss, Mumbai came out to bat first and scored 182 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Chasing the runs, the Lucknow team got all out for 101 runs in 16.3 overs. Mumbai’s fast bowler Akash Madhwal played an important role in defeating the Lucknow team.
Pacer Akash Madhwal of Mumbai took five wickets in 3.3 overs giving just 5 runs. With these figures, Akash broke many IPL records. Akash made Prerak Mankad, Ayush Badoni, Nicholas Puran, Ravi Bishnoi and Mohisan Khan of Lucknow his victims. Apart from this, he contributed to the team in getting one run out.

- Became the joint fourth best bowling figure bowler in IPL history. The record of best bowling figures in IPL is recorded in the name of Alzarri Joseph. Joseph took 6 wickets for 12 runs in 3.4 overs in the match played against Sunrisers Hyderabad while playing for Gujarat Titans.
