Air Pollution Risk: Air pollution has increased significantly in Delhi NCR. The air quality has become so bad that breathing is becoming difficult. In such a situation, it is advisable to use an air purifier to clean the air inside the house. But can pollution really be reduced through air purifiers? Let us know how air purifiers help in reducing pollution.
How effective is air purifier in reducing pollution?
Air purifiers actually purify the air by filtering the dust particles, smoke, pollen and other toxic particles present in the air. This also includes animal fur, bacteria and viruses spread in the air which are cleaned by the air purifier. Although air purifiers purify the air completely, there is no scientific evidence for this.
But where an air purifier is installed, the indicator installed on it gives an indication of the purity of the air. Air purifiers of different sizes and loads work depending on the density of the room. The bigger the room, the bigger the air purifier will be required to clean its air.
How long should the air purifier run?
Health experts say that you cannot run an air purifier like an AC. Usually people run the AC for a few hours and turn it off when the room gets cool. You cannot do this with an air purifier. You will have to run it continuously because the air in the room has to be cleaned, not cooled.
If an air purifier is installed in the house, then the doors and windows of the house should be kept closed. Due to this, polluted outside air will not be able to come into the house and the air purifier will not have to do much work. Air purifier is very beneficial for the patients suffering from asthma and bronchitis because through it they remain protected from polluted air. You have to keep in mind that the air purifier should keep running for as long as you stay in the house. It is also important to clean and service it from time to time, otherwise it will not be able to work effectively.
