Ishan Kishan Will Not Be In Playing XI Against ODI Series Against Sri Lanka

IND vs SL: Many types of questions are coming in people’s mind regarding the ODI series against Sri Lanka. Before this series to be played from January 10, Tuesday, Indian team captain Rohit Sharma has increased the questions by holding a press conference. Regarding the ODI series, the fans were hoping that once again left-handed opener Ishaan Kishan would be given a chance. But Rohit Sharma has made it clear in the press conference that not Ishaan but Shubman Gill will be made a part of the playing XI in the ODI series.

Will Ishaan Kishan be like Karun Nair?

After Rohit Sharma’s answer, it has become clear that a double century is not enough to make a place in the Indian team. Ishaan scored a blistering double century in the last match of the ODI series played against Bangladesh, but even after that he will not be made a part of the playing XI in the ODI series against Sri Lanka.

Will the condition of Ishaan Kishan be like that of Indian batsman Karun Nair? Nair had scored a triple century for India in Test cricket, but even then he was able to play only 6 Test matches. Nair was only the second batsman to score a triple century in Tests for India. He scored 374 runs in 7 innings of Test matches at an average of 62.33.

Significantly, Ishaan Kishan has played a total of 10 ODIs and 24 T20 Internationals for the Indian team so far. In these ODIs, he has scored 477 runs at an average of 53. In this, he has scored one double century and three half-centuries. Apart from this, playing 24 T20 International matches, he has scored 629 runs at an average of 27.34 and a strike rate of 127.84. In this, he has put 4 Fifty.
