Israel-Hamas War Update Israel attack on Gaza completes 142 days More than 30 thousand people have died

Israel-Hamas War Updates: Gaza was devastated after Israeli attacks. People here are in need of food and water. People are left with neither a roof over their heads nor any ration to eat. Most of the people are busy saving lives by staying in relief camps. Today is the 142nd day of Israeli attack. So far, 29,692 people from Palestine have died, while 1163 people from Israel have lost their lives.

A look at the Israel-Hamas war-
According to Dawn, Hamas attacked Israel with rockets on October 7. During this period, Hamas claimed to have fired 5 thousand rockets. Also 242 people of Palestine were taken hostage. Hundreds of Israeli citizens died during this attack.

After the Hamas attack, Israel immediately laid siege to the Gaza Strip and started air strikes. Western allies supported Israel’s bombing of Gaza. On the other hand, United Nations groups condemned the attack against Palestinians and global protests began.

Nearly 90 percent of Gaza’s population was displaced in the Israeli attack, while 1 percent died. 80 percent of the houses were damaged.

During a seven-day ceasefire in November, 105 hostages and 240 Palestinian prisoners were released. But since then the Israel-Hamas war continues again.

Now once again talks are going on about ceasefire. Some countries are mediating the ceasefire. Israel has said that if Hamas does not accept mediation, military action on the ground will be intensified.

According to Reuters report, after the ceasefire discussion started, clashes between Israel and Hamas have once again intensified in Gaza. Israel is continuously demanding the release of the hostages.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that he will not rest until he destroys Hamas and frees the Israeli hostages. Netanyahu has also called a cabinet meeting this week. In such a situation, it is believed that the ceasefire will not be easy.
