Israeli tanks enter Gaza Strip Joe Biden ceasefire is not having any effect

Israel–Hamas War: The Israeli army is continuously entering the Gaza Strip. Israeli tanks have penetrated deep into the areas of the central and southern Gaza Strip, chasing away Hamas fighters. On the other hand, Palestinian health officials said on Thursday that at least 22 people have been killed in the entire area in Israeli attacks.

The White House said that US President Joe Biden had pressed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the need to sign the agreement immediately. This result came a few hours after this. The issues of release of hostages and ceasefire in Gaza are revolving in the talks going on for months on ceasefire, but Israel and Hamas are firmly adamant on their demands.

What did the Israeli army say?
Gaza medics said 11 people were killed in an attack on a house in the northern Gaza town of Beit Lahiya, while six people, including a local journalist, were killed in an attack on a house in the al-Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip. Five others were killed in separate attacks in the south. The Israeli military said it had intensified its operations in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza and Khan Younis in the south. Dozens of military targets were demolished, weapons unearthed and militants killed in the past 24 hours.

Joe Biden and Netanyahu had a phone conversation late on Wednesday night. Along with this, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken visited the area, but he returned without any result. Hamas wants an agreement that ends the war in Gaza and releases Israeli and foreign hostages in Gaza. In return, many Palestinians imprisoned by Israel can be released. Hamas blames Israel and the United States for not being able to reach this agreement.

Israeli tank shelling
Netanyahu says the war will end only when Hamas is eliminated. Israel says the ceasefire will only be a temporary pause to exchange hostages and prisoners. Gaza residents reported that Israeli tanks have also moved westward to the Al-Qarara and Hamad areas of Khan Younis. In such a situation, many families are being driven out of their homes and tents. At times, heavy shelling is also taking place from tanks and drones. Reuters has described in detail the Israeli army’s operation going on in Gaza in its report.
