NISAR Satellite Ready To Launch: The construction of the joint satellite NISAR (NISAR) being built by NASA-ISRO has reached its final stage. According to the information, only a few more days are left for this satellite to leave for India. NASA and ISRO scientists are making arrangements to send this satellite safely to India.
ISRO chairman S Somnath supervised its final electrical test before it was sent to India. For this, he reached NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) in California on Friday (February 3). The satellite will help study Earth’s land and ice surfaces in greater detail.
“This mission will be a powerful demonstration of radar’s potential as a science tool and will help us study Earth’s dynamic land and ice surfaces in greater detail than ever before,” Somnath said at a formal ceremony held at JPL. Senior scientists from both the space agencies were present in the programme. ISRO and NASA had joined hands in 2014 to make a satellite weighing 2,800 kg.

It will be sent to India at the end of February. According to the information, this satellite will help in studying the Earth’s land and ice surfaces in more detail. ISRO Chairman S Somnath said, “This satellite is going to be an unprecedented result of Indo-US cooperation for the whole world.”

Integration of its payload is complete. Now green signal has been received to send it to India for further integration and launch next year. “This mission will be a powerful demonstration of the potential of radar as a science tool,” said senior scientists from both space agencies.
This satellite will collect radar data
Explain that NISAR will collect radar data with a drum-shaped reflector antenna about 40 feet (12 meters) in diameter. It will use a signal-processing technique called Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar to observe changes in Earth’s land and ice surfaces down to fractions of an inch.
