Potato wholesaler Manoj Gupta says that this potato coming from Bari Dholpur is of very good quality these days. One truckload of this potato is being consumed daily, that is, 25 tonnes of potatoes are being consumed daily in Karauli. Its main specialty is that its taste is unique.

Gupta says that this potato is produced in this season. Along with this, potatoes from Punjab and UP are also arriving in the markets. But in front of its shine, the potato of these two states is beating because this potato coming from Bari Dholpur is the best in both shine and taste. According to Gupta, the wholesale price of this potato is Rs 6 to 7 per kg and the retail price is Rs 10 per kg.

When Local18 talked to Gabbar Singh Gurjar, a local farmer of Dholpur, to know the secret of the shine of this potato, it came to light that the reason for the shine of this potato is the dry soil of Dholpur and the climate here. To make it shine, the farmers of Dholpur add potash fertilizer in its cultivation.

Farmer Gabbar Singh told that this native potato grown in Dholpur is known for its brightness, taste and eating, this potato is the best, hence its demand remains across the country. Due to the demand across the country, farmers here also earn good income from the cultivation of this potato.
