It is considered very beneficial for the digestive system. It also boosts immunity.

Actually, you will find many varieties of jaggery in the markets. But today we will tell you how pure natural sweetener (jaggery) is prepared without any adulteration. The jaggery produced from the crusher in Rampur’s Nagar Panchayat Dadhiyal is famous in many districts of Bihar, Uttarakhand and UP.

Making jaggery for 57 years
Crusher owner Anwar told that jaggery is prepared on 15 crushers here and about 50 people work on one crusher. We have been making jaggery for 57 years. About 70 kg of jaggery is made from 12 quintals of sugarcane. After extracting the sugarcane juice, a thick liquid is made by filtering it in a three-layer special furnace and then boiling it for several hours. After this, the thick liquid is poured into hot chalk and shaped into balls. He told that it takes 2 to 2.5 hours of hard work to make one serving of jaggery. He told that the pure local quality product is sold at Rs 30 to 32 per kg.
