The DM has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the case of the death of a youth in police custody at Dakor police station in Orai. Apart from this, in-charge SP Asim Chaudhary has suspended the Dakor police station in-charge and SOG in-charge. The entire action has created panic in the police department.

In the custody of Dakor police station, Indira Nagar resident Rajkumar, who was wanted in a murder case, died on Saturday morning. The deceased’s sister and wife, who reached the post-mortem house, accused the police of third degree torture and assault. Amar Ujala published this incident prominently in its July 13 issue. In this case, Dakor police station in-charge Rajesh Pal Singh and SOG in-charge Satendra Yadav were put on line duty on Sunday. Along with this, DM Rajesh Kumar Pandey, taking cognizance of the case, has ordered a magisterial inquiry under the leadership of ADM Vishal Yadav.

ASP Asim Chaudhary said that no injury marks were found on the body of the deceased. Although the post-mortem report showed many injury marks, the cause of death was said to be cardiac arrest. At the same time, politics has also heated up on this entire episode. SP-Congress have questioned the working style of the police through their social media accounts.
