The controversy over the NEET UG exam and UGC NET exam was not over yet and now Jamia Millia Islamia has also asked the questions of previous years in the entrance exam. After which a person has written a letter to the examination controller of the institute.
Complainant Shamshir Alam has said in the letter that questions from previous years were given in the MBA (M55) entrance exam 2024 conducted by Jamia Millia Islamia. The institute has been accused that 152 out of 170 questions asked in Set-A during the exam have been directly copied from the papers of CAT exam 2017, 2018 and 2019. The letter states that these questions were not only copied but not even a slight change was made in them.
In the letter sent to the COE, it is said that being a prestigious university, Jamia Millia Islamia should understand the motives behind conducting the examination. The university is breaking its own record of copying questions every year. In the last few years, there have been allegations of copying questions from SSC and banking examinations as well. Due to which the question is now being raised that why does the university conduct the examination.
It is also said in the letter that this matter has raised questions on the integrity and fairness of the examination system. Somewhere this may give unfair advantage to some students, especially if they come to know which year’s CAT questions are important for the upcoming exam. In the case, the complainant to the Controller of Examinations has said that people associated with the education world demand that this matter be thoroughly investigated. Such cases tarnish the image of the institution.
Not only this, the complainant has also mentioned which question has been taken from which year’s paper of CAT exam. In this case, a JMI official says that talks are going on with the higher officials. Only after that something can be said.
