Senior party leaders have started making strategies to win the elections. In this connection, a meeting of the top party leaders was held on Sunday night under the leadership of BJP President JP Nadda. Many big decisions were taken in this.

In this connection, it was decided that the top leaders of the party will hold eight rallies in Jammu and Kashmir. Apart from this, the party has also decided that it will not form an alliance with any party in this election. It will support strong independent candidates in those assembly seats of Kashmir Valley where the party will not contest the elections.

There may be around 50 names in the first list

There is also news that the list of all the candidates for the first phase has been finalized in the meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Central Election Committee held on Sunday at the party headquarters in Delhi. The party can announce these names by tonight (Monday) or tomorrow morning. The names of the candidates of Jammu region will be announced first. According to sources, names of 40 to 50 candidates will be announced in the first list.

In this meeting, the Prime Minister Narendra ModiHome Minister amit shahCentral Election Committee members Sudha Yadav, Iqbal Singh Lalpura, Vanathi Srinivasan, Jammu and Kashmir in-charge Tarun Chugh, co-in-charge Ashish Sood, state president Ravindra Raina, Rajya Sabha MP Ghulam Ali Khatana, Lok Sabha MP Jugal Kishore, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, Jammu and Kashmir Organization General Secretary Ashok Kaul and Devendra Rana were also present. At the same time, BJP election in-charge in Jammu and Kashmir Ram Madhav and G Kishan Reddy will reach the state on Monday (26 August 2024).

Elections are to be held in three phases, results will be declared on October 4

Voting will be held in three phases in Jammu and Kashmir on 18 September, 25 September and 1 October. Counting of votes will take place on 4 October. Earlier, assembly elections were held in Jammu and Kashmir in 2014. At that time, this state was not a union territory. In that election, PDP won 28 seats, Bharatiya Janata Party won 25 seats, Jammu and Kashmir National Conference won 15 seats and Congress won 12 seats. Later, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and BJP formed the government together.
