At present, outgoing Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai will remain the Corps Commander in charge of the security of the Kashmir Valley and the Line of Control there on behalf of the Indian Army.

According to a report by news agency ANI, the Indian Army says that Lieutenant General Prashant Srivastava has been appointed as the next Corps Commander of the Chinar Corps. Lieutenant General Prashant Srivastava will take over his new charge from October 15, 2024.

Two Principal Staff Officers in Army Headquarters are retiring soon

Two important principal staff officers at the Army headquarters, including the Deputy Chief Strategy and Deputy Chief (Capability Development and Sustainment), are retiring on October 31. In the list of new postings released on July 22, several officers have already been sent to take over corps, such as the 3 Corps in Dimapur and the new Army War College Commandant.
