Jammu-kashmir news: A Special Court nominated under the National Investigation Agency (NIA) Act in Jammu by a special court investigation related to terrorism in connection with an ongoing investigation against Zafar Hussain Bhat alias Khurshid Alam, a resident of Liver, Anantnag, Section 82 of the Criminal Procedure (CRPC) Under the fugitive criminal is declared.
A copy of the announcement issued by the court is near Kashmir.com in Srinagar, in which the accused is written that the accused has been lodged in Kulgam Police Station RC-01/2022/NIA/NIA/NIA/NIA/JMU case Sections 13, 16, 18 and 20 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) have been nominated for alleged offenses under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 7/27 of the Arms Act.
A warrant was released earlier also
According to the court, a general warrant was also issued earlier for Bhat’s arrest, but due to lack of detection of the accused, he was returned without serving. The prosecutor said that Bhat has escaped or is deliberately avoiding arrest. In view of this, the court has directed Bhat to appear in the court within 30 days from the publication of proclamation. If it is not followed, action will be taken under Section 83 CRPC, which allows the assets of the absconding person to attach the assets.
Instructions to NIA Jammu
On behalf of the Senior Superintendent of Police, NIA Jammu has been instructed to ensure publication of public information in more and more broadcast newspapers, including one national daily in the residential area of the accused. Apart from this, the notice will be pasted to a major part of his residence and other public places in its area. Explain that the matter is related to investigation of activities related to terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
