A case of sexual exploitation of a minor for a year on the pretext of marriage has come to light in a village of Sikandra police station area of Jamui, Bihar. However, two days ago the villagers had caught both of them in an objectionable condition in the fields. After that they got both of them married in the temple. But now the minor’s in-laws have beaten him and flatly refused to adopt him. After this, the victim along with her family members reached Sikandra police station on Friday and lodged a written complaint against the accused husband and in-laws.
According to the complaint, Kundan Kumar alias Gunjan (22), son of Ajay Tanti, resident of Sikandra police station area, kept sexually exploiting the minor for a year on the pretext of marriage. At the same time, on the evening of 31 January, when the minor had gone towards the field to defecate. Then Kundan Kumar alias Gunjan, seeing her alone, raped her and tried to run away. During that time the local people caught him. Then both of them got married in a nearby temple.
In the complaint, the victim alleged that after marriage, when she went to the house of the accused youth i.e. her husband, Kundan’s mother Dulari Devi, father Ajay Tanti and sister Poonam Kumari and others beat her up. Also, they clearly refused to keep her in the house, after which the victim reached Sikandra police station with her family on Friday afternoon. Where the victim accused Kundan Kumar alias Gunjan Kumar of sexually exploiting her for a year on the pretext of marriage.
At the same time, after the FIR was registered, Sikandra police station started investigating the entire matter. Here, Sikandra police station incharge Arun Kumar said that a minor has accused a young man of sexual exploitation on the pretext of marriage. On the basis of the application given by the minor, an FIR has been registered and the entire matter is being investigated.
