In Jamui, Bihar, the police took immediate action and arrested two criminals within six hours of the incident of demanding extortion over phone. The police are strictly interrogating both the accused. The arrested criminals have been identified as Pankaj Yadav, son of Vishesh Yadav, resident of Ektarwa of Barhat police station area, and Rajesh Kumar, son of Mishri Yadav.
According to the information, Pankaj Yadav had taken a loan from the bank and the bank was continuously pressurizing him to deposit the money. Regarding this, Pankaj saw a video on Facebook and after watching the same video, he conspired to demand extortion. At the same time, he also included one of his associates in this conspiracy. After this, both of them had demanded extortion money of Rs 8 lakh from two different mobile numbers from Naresh Prasad Baranwal, resident of Matia Chakchotaha of Barhat police station area.
It is being told that after demanding extortion, the victim had filed a complaint at Barhat police station and demanded action. Registering case number 49/24, a team was formed on the instructions of SP Dr Shaurya Suman to arrest the criminals. In that, under the leadership of SDPO Satish Suman, police personnel including Police Inspector Pratap Singh and Barhat Police Station Head Kumar Sanjeev conducted a raid and arrested both the accused from Ektarwa village.
Here, SDPO Satish Suman told that accused Pankaj was drowned in loan debt. To get out of the debt, he conspired with his associate Rajesh Yadav to demand extortion. After that he used to demand extortion money by changing the mobile number. SDPO said that last month Pankaj had also purchased a SIM card from West Bengal and had demanded extortion of Rs 8 lakh from grocery shop Naresh Das from this number. However, after the arrest, the police is strictly interrogating both the accused.
