Keeping a fast on this day brings blessings from Lord Krishna and Radha Rani. This year, Lord Krishna’s 5251st birth anniversary will be celebrated on 26 August. Preparations for this have begun in full swing in Mathura.

As much as Holi is famous in Mathura, the birthplace of Shri Krishna, Janmashtami is also famous here, which is talked about across the country and abroad. This time Lord Krishna’s 5251st birth anniversary will be celebrated with great pomp in Mathura. Preparations for which have already begun.

Kapil Sharma, secretary of Shri Krishna Janmasthan, informed that this time Thakur ji will reside in Padmakanti Pushp bungalow. Thakur ji will arrive in the silver lotus flower, so that devotees can see his beautiful form.

This time on the occasion of Janmashtami, 5251 lamps will be lit in Mathura on 25th August. On this occasion, the first Abhishek of Thakur ji will be done by a gold-plated silver Kamdhenu cow. The main moments of Shri Krishna’s life will be shown live.

Taking special care of the devotees, they will be given continuous entry to visit the birthplace. The devotees will be able to visit from 5:30 am to 1:30 pm. Param Pujya Mahant Shri Nitya Gopal Das Maharaj will also be present during the Janmabhishek.

Advisory issued
This time on the occasion of Janmashtami in Mathura, the temple administration has issued an advisory. In such a situation, if you are planning to go to Mathura, then know these advisories –

  • Devotees coming from outside have been instructed not to bring any valuables. They have also been requested to come to Mathura with less luggage.
  • People have been asked not to bring mobile phones, purses, jewellery and other valuables as it is difficult to identify thieves and pickpockets in the crowd.
  • Due to the crowd, elderly people, handicapped people, small children or people with respiratory problems have been appealed not to come to the temple.
  • Due to the main festival, devotees coming to Mathura for darshan may face the problem of traffic jam. Therefore, come to Mathura with your preparations.
