First Wooden Satellite: Japanese scientists have launched the world’s first wooden satellite. This satellite named gnoSat was placed on a SpaceX rocket and sent to space. According to reports, this satellite has been created by a joint team of researchers from Kyoto University and house-building company Sumitomo Forestry. This satellite has been launched for the International Space Station (ISS).

LignoSat is named after the Latin word for wood. It will be released from the space station in the coming weeks. It will remain in the room for six months. This satellite will stay on the ISS and test how well this material can withstand the extreme environment of space.
