On Monday, journalist of a news portal Ashutosh Srivastava was shot dead in Sarebazar in Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur district. The police expressed suspicion on some people on suspicion of murder of the journalist. Meanwhile, a suspect fled from Jaunpur and went to Mumbai, after which UP Police, with the help of Thane Police of Mumbai, arrested this person named Jamiruddin Qureshi on suspicion of murder of a journalist. But when he was being brought from Mumbai to Uttar Pradesh by train, the accused Jamiruddin escaped by jumping from the train at Khandwa station in Madhya Pradesh.
Information regarding absconding accused went viral
It is being told that the UP Police personnel present in the train tried their best to stop the train by pulling the chain. But the weekly super fast train did not stop, on which both the UP police personnel reached the next station, Itarsi, from where they caught another train and came back to Khandwa and started searching for the accused. At the same time, during this time, he also informed the GRP police at Khandwa station about the absconding accused. But by then it was too late. Here, as soon as the information was received, the GRP police registered a case against the absconding accused and started the search. Here, the incident also came to light when the information about absconding of the person involved in the murder of the journalist went viral on social media.
The absconding accused was caught from Mumbai
Here, according to ASI Annilal of Khandwa GRP Police, a journalist was murdered in UP on May 13, in which five accused were involved. One of them was Jamiruddin Qureshi. Who had fled to Mumbai after the incident. District Jaunpur informed Mumbai Police and Crime Branch Thane had caught the accused Jamiruddin Qureshi, after which UP Police Sub Inspector Mansaram and constable Brajendra went to pick him up and on 15th, took the accused back to Uttar Pradesh by train on transit remand. Khandwa GRP police filed a case
At the same time, he told that the policeman along with the absconding accused had reached Khandwa station on May 16 by boarding the Weekly Express. Here the accused pretended to have a slight doubt and as soon as the train moved ahead of Khandwa station, the accused pushed the policemen on the outer and jumped out of the train. Frustrated, the policemen of UP Police kept pulling the chain. But the car did not stop. Going ahead he informed this to Khandwa GRP police. The GRP police immediately came into action here and scanned the CCTV footage and started a search operation in the area. Here, the GRP police has also registered a case against the absconding accused.
