A tragic accident has occurred in Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Seven people died in the accident, while three people were injured. The injured have been admitted to hospital. The police reached the spot, took possession of the dead bodies and sent them for post-mortem. Also investigation has been started.
According to the information, this accident happened at around 2.30 am on Saturday night near Prasad Kerakat intersection on Jaunpur-Azamgarh highway in Gaurabadshahpur police station area. In the incident, nine members of a family were going in a car from Sitamarhi, Bihar to Prayagraj to see the Jhunsi girl.
As soon as the car turned from Jaunpur towards Kerakat, it was hit by a speeding truck coming from the front. There was an outcry on the spot after the incident. Neighboring people reached the spot and the police were informed. The police sent the injured to the district hospital.
According to the police, Gajadhar Sharma, a resident of Sitamarhi, Bihar, along with nine members of his family, was going to Jhusi in Prayagraj in a seven-seater car to look for a girl for the marriage of his son Chandan Sharma. When his car reached Kerakat Prasad intersection at around 2.30 in the night, it was hit by a speeding truck coming from Jaunpur.
