Jayeshbhai Jordaar Movie Review: To what extent will ‘Jordaar’ Ranveer Singh be able to save this loose story…

After becoming Kapil Dev in the film ’83, Ranveer Singh has now become ‘Jayeshbhai’, that too in a vigorous way. Whenever Ranveer comes on screen, you forget him and remember only his character. Ranveer has earlier created terror in hearts by becoming Alauddin Khilji, now Jayeshbhai Jordaar will be seen winning hearts on screen with his innocence. Writer Divyang Thakkar is sitting on the director’s chair for the first time in this film of Yash Raj Production. Now let’s tell how strongly the story of this Jayeshbhai has been shown on the screen.

Talking about the story, the film is about a village in Gujarat, where the most important task after marriage is to give birth to Nanaka, that is, a boy, to run the dynasty. Alam is that when a girl complains about the molestation of boys in front of the sarpanch (Baman Irani), the sarpanch holds the scented soap responsible for it. The whole village also nods in yes. This Sarpanch’s son is Jayesh Bhai (Ranveer Singh) who is completely beyond the ‘rules of becoming a real man’, but does not have the courage to speak in front of his father. Jayesh Bhai’s first girl child has been born and after killing the daughter’s fetus 6 times, now his wife Mudra (Shalini Pandey) is pregnant again. Jayesh Bhai has come to know that his wife is about to give birth to a daughter once again and Jayesh Bhai is just trying to save the life of this daughter.

Shalini Pandey made her Bollywood debut with this film.

First of all, talking about the story, when the trailer of this film came, it was felt that it is going to be a strong film, funny dialogues, comedy and Ranveer Singh is there. But the problem came when you reached to watch the film because all the important things of this film had been shown in the trailer. So what we have seen in the two and a half minute trailer, what next? What to watch in cinemas 2 hours. Seeing the trailer, it seemed that this film will show a new man, who cries and who also feels pain. But amidst the loose story and revolving screenplay, this ‘new type of man’ also cannot save the film alone.

The real fielding of the story was prepared in the beginning only in a few scenes, but after the tremendous buildup, you feel disappointed again and again. It is not known from where the chasing sequence is going. Next to the village which kills girls in the womb itself, another village is getting rewarded for taking selfies with girls. Whatever funny scenes are there in the film, or rather the punches, most of them were already seen in the trailer. Yes, the whole game played around ‘Puppy’ in the climax can be called new. What can we say about the climax of the film. We know that imaginary horses run in stories, but like this…

‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ is the first attempt of writer-turned-director Divyang Thakkar and he will have to be blamed for this mess. Some sequences are very sloppy, such as a sequence in the field. In which a pregnant lady and a small girl ran so far in the open fields when the cat crossed the road that 10-12 men who came looking for them could not catch them. After such scenes, you do not lose faith in the story.

If this film can be seen in theatres, then its biggest reason is Ranveer Singh. Ranveer has acted with all his sincerity and has once again done wonders. It becomes very difficult to believe that this is the same person who became Alauddin Khilji or Kapil Dev.. Ranveer is a great actor of his generation. Not only Ranveer, Boman Irani, Shalini Pandey and Jia Vaidya, who plays Ranveer’s daughter, have done a great job.

This is director Divyang Thakkar’s first film.

See, Jayeshbhai Jordaar is a film showing a great message, which must be seen once for Ranveer Singh’s performance. I wish this great plot was served with a good story and proper treatment, then its taste would have been different. 2.5 stars to this film from my side.
