Angry family members created ruckus by blocking the main road

An atmosphere of chaos was created in a nursing home in Jehanabad, Bihar when a pregnant woman died during treatment. Angered by the death, the family members have accused the doctor of negligence. After this, they blocked the Patna-Gaya main road (NH-83) by placing the dead body and created a ruckus. Seeing the uproar of the family members, all the staff of the clinic including the doctor fled from the spot. The incident took place near Unta Mor of Nagar police station area.
According to the information, Ranjan Kumar is a resident of Salempur village under Kinjar police station of Arwal district. He had admitted his pregnant wife Shilpi Devi to a nursing home run near Unta Mod in the city on Saturday morning for delivery. It is alleged that due to the negligence of the doctor and nursing home staff here, the patient’s condition deteriorated. Seeing the critical condition, the doctor called an ambulance and immediately referred the patient to PMCH, but the woman died on the way.
After this, angry family members kept the body on the road and blocked NH-83 for hours. Due to this, there was a long queue of small and big vehicles coming and going. Family members said that the patient was admitted this morning. But due to negligence by the doctor and staff, the patient died untimely.
At the same time, on receiving information about the road jam, the police reached the spot and pacified the angry people and got the jam ended. Town Inspector Nikhil Kumar said that the jam has been ended by convincing the people. He said that no written application has been given yet by the victims. After submitting the application, action will be taken by registering an FIR. At present the police is busy investigating the entire matter.
