Jhansi Ki Rani serial writer Mairaj Zaidi passes away at the age of 76


Mairaj Zaidi Death: There are continuous news of demise of celebs from the entertainment world. Recently, veteran ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas passed away. People have not even recovered from this sorrow and now another sad news is coming.

Actually, famous writer Meraj Zaidi, who wrote the scripts of many TV serials including Jhansi Ki Rani, has passed away. Meraj breathed his last at his residence in Dandupur, Prayagraj. He was 76 years old and was seriously ill for the last few days. Due to the demise of Meraj Zaidi, there has been a wave of mourning among all the fans and celebs.

Meraj Zaidi was not only a writer but also an actor.
Let us tell you that Meraj had written scripts and dialogues in many hit TV serials like Jhansi Ki Rani, Veer Shivaji, Shobha Somnath Ki, Aapki Antara, Raja Ka Baaja. Meraj Zaidi left behind three sons and two daughters.

Zaidi was not only a brilliant writer but he was also a very famous theater director, lyricist and even actor in the country. He also showed his acting skills in many serials and films including Hollywood film Gongar 2. He had done many shows with Habib Tanveer in which many shows like Agra Bazaar, Mrityun Bihari Lal Hazir Ho, Shahar Mein Curfew, Ramcharan Chor were quite popular.

Zaidi’s disciple Sharad Kumar expressed grief over his demise
Sharad Kumar, director of Folk Culture Development Institute, Prayagraj, who was a disciple of Meraj Zaidi and was working as his assistant writer in Keru, has expressed grief over the demise of the late writer. He said that he never thought that such a fearless life and such a wave-filled ocean of words would say goodbye so quietly. The companion of my writing journey left me forever. And
