Legacy of taste since 30 years: Tandoori Chicken Stall in front of Basant Central Mall
Opposite Basant Central Mall in Jamshedpur, a special tandoori chicken stall has been winning the hearts of people for the last 30 years. It was started by Balveer Singh, who is famous for his unique spices and special art of making tandoori chicken. Today, the reins of this stall have been taken over by his son, Rajveer Singh, who is carrying forward his father’s recipe and taste very well. As soon as 4 o’clock in the evening, the aroma of Balveer ji’s tandoori chicken spreads throughout the area, due to which the atmosphere around the stall becomes even more lively.
spices and low flame of coal
The real reason for the popularity of Balveer Ji’s Tandoori Chicken is the traditional spices used in it and the way it is cooked. In this special recipe, chicken is marinated in a mixture of turmeric, ginger, garlic, red chilli, curd and hand-ground spices. After this, it is cooked slowly on low flame of coal, due to which its taste becomes very delicious. After cooking, it is served with green chilli, mint, coriander chutney and Bengal’s famous Kasundi chutney.
Rajveer says that our spices and method of cooking on low flame makes this tandoori chicken different from others. The regular customers here also say that the taste of Balveer ji’s Tandoori Chicken is completely different and special from other stalls in Jamshedpur, hence the crowd gathers here in the evening.
Price and Customer Service
The prices of tandoori chicken at Balveer ji’s stall are also very reasonable. A whole chicken is available for Rs 360. Due to its affordable rates and great taste, this stall is very popular among common people, families and youngsters. Rajveer and his team serve customers quickly so that no one waits for long.
