Jigra Movie Review: Alia Bhatt shows ‘Jigra’ with Vedang

New Delhi. The film ‘Jigra’ has finally been released in theatres. Ever since the trailer of this film came, there was a lot of discussion about this film. I was waiting for this film since seeing the way Alia Bhatt has been presented in the trailer and finally today I saw this film. After watching the entire film, I would definitely like to say that it is not easy to recognize Alia’s talent and I understood this only after watching her film ‘Raazi’. She has the courage to make the film a hit on her own.

Story
The story of the film ‘Jigra’ is based on an orphan brother and sister. After the death of their parents, Satya (Alia Bhatt) takes care of her younger brother Ankur (Vedang Raina). Satya has been very positive about her younger brother Ankur since childhood. She also takes very good care of him. Satya helps her elder father (a distant relative of Akash Deep) in his business and both of them live in his house. One day, Alia’s elder father sends Ankur abroad with his son Kabir for business, where Kabir gets trapped in a drugs case, but along with him, the police also takes Ankur into custody. Alia’s elder father saves his son Kabir, but blames Ankur for everything and leaves him there, where Ankur is sentenced to death. Aaliya understands everything and sets out to save her brother. Will Satya be able to save her brother? To know this you will have to watch the entire film.

what is interesting?
The pairing of Alia and Vedang in the film will win your hearts. The brother-sister relationship has been shown in a new style, where it has been shown that not only the brother can always protect his sister, but the sister can also protect her brother if needed. The film is completely a family film, which you can watch with your entire family. Alia has not been shown as a superwoman in the film, rather she has been presented as an ordinary girl. In the film, Satya has learned karate, so she fights a little, but not much action is shown. That’s why Alia’s character does not seem too artificial.

shortcomings
The first part of the film goes well, but in the second part you may feel a little bored, because the pace of the film becomes a little slow. The film slows down a bit as soon as Alia reaches abroad. It seems as if the film is being dragged forcibly. If the duration of the film had been reduced a little, it would have been perfect. However, by the time the climax comes, the film picks up its pace. The film remains in serious mode from beginning to end, where a little break should have been taken. These shortcomings affect the rating of the film.

Direction and Music
Vasan Bala has worked the magic of his direction in the film ‘Jigra’. He has tried to make the film better from every angle. The way he has captured the relationship between Alia and Vedang on his camera is quite amazing. The only thing that is bothering the film is that it continues to run in the same mode. The film was quite serious from beginning to end. If it had been made a little lighter in the middle, perhaps it would have been better. The music of Achint Thakkar and Manpreet Singh has also done wonders. He has presented the song ‘Phoolon Ka Taron Ka..’ in a very brilliant way.

To watch or not to watch?
I have already told you my review. The movie can be watched once, but it is up to you to decide what kind of movies you like. You will neither get to see comedy nor action in this film. If you like films based on relationships then this can be a good choice for you.

rating
This film of Alia Bhatt is 3 stars from me.
