Jawaharlal Nehru University has appealed to all stakeholders to maintain discipline and peace during the start of the new semester and activities organised by student organisations. The university also said that as per the High Court’s directions, any kind of protest dharna or mass gatherings are prohibited within 100 metres of the administrative block. The administration said that it will adopt a zero tolerance policy towards any kind of violence or indiscipline on the campus.
An appeal has been made by Jawaharlal Nehru University. In a letter issued by the Registrar, in view of the beginning of the new semester and various activities organized by student organizations, all the stakeholders of the campus have been appealed to maintain discipline and peace in the campus while participating in any kind of gatherings.

Prohibition on demonstrations within 100 meters of the administrative block
The appeal further states that all stakeholders of the university should keep in mind that as per the High Court’s instructions, any kind of demonstration/dharna/mass gathering is prohibited within a radius of 100 meters of the university’s administrative block. It states that your cooperation is important in maintaining a peaceful and disciplined campus. If anyone is found involved in unauthorized activities, please immediately inform the security branch. The administration will adopt a zero tolerance policy towards any kind of violence or indiscipline in the campus. Therefore, no student, teacher, employee should be involved in any kind of indiscipline activity.
